In addition to writing in both adult and YA genres, M.D. travels as much as she can. She'd love to share her TRAVEL SECRETS with you (like how she managed to fly to Honduras, Mexico, Florida, California, and New Mexico for a total of $180!)

M.D. researches all of the settings for her books. She believes in writing that is experiential and authentic.
The Secret of the Sea Witch was inspired by a solo trip to obscure south Pacific islands on a 147 foot converted cargo ship!
DID I MENTION WORLD TRAVELER?
M.D. traveled to Dublin, Ireland to do research for Brandy and the Banshees. She's the proud holder of a library card from the Irish National Library.
